Linn County sheriff's office searching for man after chase, crash in rural area
Dustin Lacey, 42, of Anamosa, is wanted for burglary and eluding after a pursuit Tuesday night ended with a crash; authorities say no active threat to the public.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Dustin Lacey, 42, of Anamosa, who is wanted for burglary, eluding and other traffic charges after a chase and crash Tuesday night, the office said.
Deputies pursued a gold Cadillac Escalade believed to be Lacey’s vehicle around 9:33 p.m. on July 7 in the area of Waubeek and Rowley Road in Linn County. Deputies lost sight of the vehicle due to gravel dust kicked up from the road.
About two hours later, a driver reported the same vehicle rolled on its side off Boy Scouts and Game Club Road. Deputies and an Iowa State Patrol trooper searched the area and believe Lacey lost control at the intersection, the vehicle rolled, and Lacey escaped, according to the sheriff’s office.
Drones from deputies and Monticello Police were used to search the area but did not find Lacey. The sheriff’s office stated there is not an active threat to the public.
Anyone who knows where Lacey is is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office, the office said.
